Dear OCASC Members & Friends, On behalf of the President and Board of Directors to inform you the following. Due to unforeseen circumstances, with effective today (2020/10/26), OCASC has moved out of Unit 31, 145 Royal Crest Court, Markham L3R 9Z4 and no longer using it as our Club House address.

[WORLD MASTER CHEFS ASSOCIATION FOR CHINESE CUISINE – NEW BRANCH]
The World Master Chefs Association for Chinese Cuisine (WMACC) has opened a Canadian branch that recognizes the Toronto’s Oriental Culinary Arts Society of Canada and 溫哥華精藝飲食協會 Vancouver’s Chinese Canadian Chef’s Association.

[CHINESE GASTRONOMY FEDERATION OF CANADA 加拿大中華美食聯合總會]
加拿大中華美食聯合總會 Chinese Gastronomy Federation of Canada, a new not-for profit organization will represent Canada for the 2017 World Master Chefs Competition for Cantonese Cuisine in Hong Kong. The new organization was founded by both 多倫多加拿大東方廚藝協會 Toronto’s Oriental Culinary Arts Society of Canada and 溫哥華精藝飲食協會 Vancouver’s Chinese Canadian Chef’s Association.

[2017 WORLD MASTER CHEFS COMPETITION FOR CANTONESE CUISINE IN HONG KONG]
多倫多加拿大東方廚藝協會 Toronto’s Oriental Culinary Arts Society of Canada and 溫哥華精藝飲食協會 Vancouver’s Chinese Canadian Chef’s Association culinary teams will be jointly representing Canada at the prestigious World Master Chef’s Competition in Hong Kong this September 2017. [TASTE OF ASIA FESTIVAL]
The OCASC and the Taste of Asia invite you to join their annual festival in Markham on Saturday June 25, 2016 and Sunday June 26, 2016. Furthermore, we invite you to join in on the exclusive opening ceremony on Friday June 24, 2016 @ 7pm at Gold Mark Chinese Cuisine. In attendance will be 5 chefs from various restaurants in Toronto and Vancouver. Individual seats can be purchased for $88/person or $880/table (tax and tips included). [FORT MCMURRAY FUNDRAISING DINNER]
The OCASC and the Ted Rogers School of Management, Ryerson University hosted a fundraising dinner at the Ted Rogers School of Management on Saturday May 14, 2016. Through many generous sponsors, silent auctions, and the 50/50 draw, the event managed to fundraise over $31,000.

致各位會員朋友，鑒於近日坊間傳聞關於某個多倫多厨師會的負面傳言。現在本會- 加拿大東方厨藝協會(Oriental Culinary Arts Society of Canada – OCASC)嚴正聲明，本會於多倫多成立已二十五年，與大多倫多地區其他華人厨藝會 實屬互不相關及各自獨立運作的協會。其他協會在加拿大本地或以外國家地區所有華洋瓜葛，俱與OCASC協會無關。

With regards the recent negative rumors of one of the Chinese culinary associations in GTA. Hereby the Board of Directors is to announce that Oriental Culinary Arts Society of Canada (加拿大東方厨藝協會- OCASC) has been established since 1989 and has no relationship or association with any other Chinese culinary association in GTA. Any activity operated/operating within or outside of Canada by other Chinese culinary association has no relationship with OCASC whatsoever. OCASC is operating independently and is a unit entity.
